Shuby was born on January 7, 1971 in Ramsgate.
Starting in 2006 , she established herself in the London street art scene through paste-ups inspired by singer and dancer Josephine Baker and illustrator Martin Sharp. During her early creative phase, Busby Berkeley's film "The Gang's All Here" had a significant influence on her work. The banana motif, in particular, has been a staple of her work since this period.
She was subsequently offered a studio space by the Bow Arts Trust Fund in London, where she began creating works in a studio setting rather than exclusively on the street. Her work is characterized by its particular diversity and influences from pop culture, advertising, and the film industry.
Nevertheless, Shuby never stops practicing classic street art. Her works can be found on the streets of major cities like New York, London, Berlin, Brussels, Lisbon, and Sydney, as well as in remote towns like Bethlehem, Palestine.
Shuby lives and works mainly in St. Leonards-on-Sea near Hastings, as well as in London.
