Per Gernhardt, born in 1941 in Posen, studied under Professor Dörries at the Berlin Academy of Fine Arts in 1967. The artist has lived in Wendland since 1980. He is characterized as a painter of light and air, who applies a color filter to the selected details, thus creating a poetic atmosphere.
